Dubai Frame, what is it exactly?
Dubai Frame is a huge photo frame that sits in a city park. This building, which is therefore similar to a photo frame, offers the possibility of climbing to the top to enjoy a panoramic view of the immense city. I will talk to you in detail about visiting Dubai Frame and the view offered by this recent building.
By booking your ticket for Dubai Frame (online here), you can therefore benefit from a superb view. And also on Burj Khalifa!
Here are some facts about Dubai Frame:
project designed by architect Fernando Donis
height of Dubai Frame: 150 meters
the site opened in January 2018
Sky Deck with a length of 93 meters
4 elevators allow you to climb to the top in 75 seconds!
In the rest of this post, I will give you my advice for visiting Dubai Frame during your stay.
Structure of Dubai Frame
Dubai Frame Tour
A place to my story on the visit of Dubai Frame. The ascent to the Sky Deck is via a truly modern elevator.
The height is not at all the same as the observatory of Burj Khalifa. The climb is therefore quick even if the speed is lower than the Khalifa Tower elevator.
The Sky Deck is very beautiful, very original, and really futuristic. In addition, the ground being glass, we can see under our feet, 150 meters below. The view of the city is very nice, although Dubai Frame is a bit in the middle of nothing. Unlike Burj Khalifa which reigns in the heart of Downtown, here we have a panorama from the outside. The 2 views are complementary.
2 exposures: before and after the climb
During the Dubai Frame tour, you will be able to see 2 small exhibitions focusing on:
Dubai 50 years ago to better understand the rapid development of the city
Dubai in 50 years with projections on the potential projects and the development of the city
These 2 exhibitions are included in the entrance ticket for Dubai Frame. They are located on the ground floor, at the level of the 2 pillars of the building.
The visit is therefore very well structured because you will see:
Dubai 50 years ago with going up to the Sky Deck
the city today from the Sky Deck with a view of the city
Dubai in 50 years after the elevator descent
A very nice design! Photographs are prohibited in the 2 exhibitions.
Dubai Frame, located between the 2 Dubai!
Dubai Frame is really located between 2 cities, 2 totally different worlds.
During the visit, from the Sky Deck, on one side you can observe the old quarters with rather small buildings, many minarets, and the traditional buildings of the Bur Dubai and Deira districts.
On the other side, Downtown, the extravagant side with Burj Khalifa reigns in the middle of dozens of skyscrapers 300 meters high.
During the Dubai Frame tour, the view allows you to see both sides of the city!

In this part of the post, I give you all the useful practical information to visit Dubai Frame and enjoy the 360-degree view from the Sky Deck.
In the last part of this post, I will tell you why this visit is essential but cannot replace that of the Khalifa tower, which offers an unparalleled panorama of the city.
Dubai Frame: price
Visiting Dubai Frame is paying, which is logical and in any case very common here, a city where few things are free…
You can book your tickets here. Here are the prices of Dubai Frame:
adult price: about 14 euros (depending on the euro/dirham rate)
child rate (3 to 12 years old): about 7 euros
free for children under 3 years old
Note that this price corresponds to the price linked to the recent opening. Rumors say that this rate could increase later.
Anyway, at present, the price of Dubai Frame is very correct. If you have time, it would be a shame to miss this visit…
Dubai Frame can be visited daily from 9 am to 9 pm. The site remains open during holidays and weekends.
